Americans Speak Out on Why They Got the Flu Vaccine in New Video

December 3, 2009

HHS today released a new video called, “Americans Speak Out: Why We Got the Flu Vaccine,” which features Americans talking about why they chose to get vaccinated against the 2009 H1N1 flu virus.

In the video, mothers, pregnant women, students, young adults, and others explain why they got the H1N1 flu vaccine to protect themselves and their communities. You can tell us why you got vaccinated against flu by submitting your own video at YouTube.com/group/TheFluandYou. External Link Disclaimer

Keeping our communities healthy is shared responsibility. Getting the H1N1 flu vaccine helps protect yourself, your friends, and your family. In addition to getting vaccinated, you can help prevent the spread of the flu through simple everyday actions like staying home when you are sick, sneezing into a tissue or your sleeve instead of your hands, and washing your hands frequently.
